NZ Volunteer Uniforms 1852 – 1909

Presenter: Barry O’Sullivan. Lift the sepia tone of the volunteer period to reveal a rainbow of colours and organisation. The talk will be based on the book New Zealand Dress Regulations 1852-1909 and will help to fill the void in our understanding of uniforms and accoutrements of the period. The public are invited to bring along items and photos from the volunteer period for discussion and identification.
